On Monday, June 24th, the Northern Colorado Networking Group (NoCoNet) will host their semiannual job fair.

Over thirty local companies and agencies are expected to participate in what has become one of Northern Colorado’s most successful employment events. There is no cost for exhibiting companies or job candidates.
The first hour of the job fair (8:30-9:30am) will be restricted to active NoCoNet members. Non-members are welcome to attend from 9:30-11:30am.
In addition to meeting recruiters, participants will have the opportunity to update their online image. Photographer Bruce Tracy will take pictures for networking websites (such as LinkedIn) for $10.
The Northern Colorado Networking Group (NoCoNet) is a volunteer-run organization of motivated professionals in career transition. Mark Sloniker has made music in many diverse settings over the course of his life. From solo piano performances to jazz trios/quartets, to symphony orchestra concerts, Mark has played and recorded in the U.S. and abroad. Mark is a producer, composer and recording artist, and has made five recordings (CDs) of his own and contributed to many recordings as a “side man” or composer.
Mark has a degree in Music Therapy from Colorado State University and has worked extensively using music as a therapeutic tool in achieving/maintaining wellness. He has worked with Doctors (MDs), Psychologists, and many practitioners in the healing fields bringing music to many who wish to do healing work in this way. He has recorded music for this purpose as well as presented and taught in workshops and seminars.

Projecting & Managing Cash Flows- Will My Business Make Money?

This 3.5 hour workshop is your starting point for understanding the financial future of your business. Cash is king, and we’ll look at how to project and manage business cash flows. If you’re considering starting a business, will you make it through the first year? Is there ever enough cash in the bank of your existing business? This class is for you. Forecast income and cash flows, and gain the necessary insights to run your business better.

The Blues DoGS get the crowd going anywhere from a four piece all the way to a ten piece depending on the venue and play at a variety of local events in northern Colorado. With the vocals of Kent Obermann and the lead guitar playing by Eric Romero, The Blues DoGS have charisma, showmanship and tons of talent. The rest of the crew consists of Brian Pantle, Jim Turner, Chris Kay, Del Benson, Greg Obermann, Gary Brunnerg, Aaron Moreng and Alex Brunnerg.

The Community Foundation will be hosting its annual Profiles Luncheon on October 8th from 11:30 a.m.—1:00 p.m. at the University of Northern Colorado University Center Ballroom.

The event will focus on the Community Foundation’s role in empowering education in our communities. Helayne Jones, President and CEO of the Colorado Legacy Foundation, will be the keynote speaker for the event.
Helayne Jones was named President & CEO of the Colorado Legacy Foundation in March 2009. As the leader of this dynamic, growing organization, Jones draws on 15 years of expertise gained as an education consultant, her experience as a college professor, and her previous work as a marketing executive. Her consulting experience includes work with school districts and education foundations in Colorado and throughout the country to implement school reform by improving business processes in education systems. She also has extensive experience with private-sector and nonprofit organizations to facilitate strategic planning, board communications, and manage the impact of change.
Tickets for the event are $30 for individuals and sponsorship opportunities are available.
