FORT COLLINS - The city of Fort Collins has hired LaFarge North American Inc. for the East Harmony Road Bridge replacement, setting a timeline for the project.
Fort Collins received a $1.6 million grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation to replace the bridge, which has been deemed inadequate to handle the current traffic volume and doesn't meet safety standards. The project will begin on Harmony Road between Interstate 25 and Ziegler Road in February and is expected to be completed in August.
When the project is complete, Harmony will have three lanes of travel and a bike lane in each direction from I-25 to Timberline Road. More information on the project and how it will impact traffic flow can be found at www.fcgov.com/fctrip.
