The Weld Food Bank will now be able to provide hungry children in Platteville food through their Backpack Program thanks to a $3,000 donation from the Calfrac Well Services Corp. office in Platteville. For $75, the food bank can provide a backpack full of food to a child every weekend during the school year. The Calfrac donation will ensure that 40 children are well fed and ready to learn when they return to school on Monday morning.

At the Colorado Environmental Leadership Program Awards lunch, Signature Offset, a commercial cold-web printer specializing in newsprint products for publishers, was awarded the Gold Partner award, the highest attainable award from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Sustainability Program. The Gold Award recognizes those businesses that demonstrate a commitment to the environment and continuous improvement, along with environmental stewardship.
