Longmont United Hospital and Poudre Valley Health System announced that cardiovascular surgeons Mark B. Douthit and Thomas L. Matthew have joined the Poudre Valley Medical Group. This commitment to PVHS will be the first step in expanding a regional heart program that supports Northern Colorado, western Nebraska and southern Wyoming.

CONSTRUCTION
The Northern Colorado Home Builders Association honored Steve Spanjer, president of Fort Collins-based Spanjer Homes, with the 2011 Builder of the Year award at the Annual Installation and Awards Banquet in November. Spanjer was previously recognized with Builder of the Year Award in 1993. Tara Buckner, Spanjer Home's construction manager, was installed as one of Northern Colorado HBA's 2012 vice presidents on the board of directors.
