Every holiday season the familiar Salvation Army red kettles are seemingly everywhere. But who are all those bell-ringing volunteers? Many belong to the Kiwanis-family of organizations: K-Kids (elementary), Builders Club (middle school), Key Club (high school), CKI (university) and of course Kiwanis (adults). Twenty-nine (29) individual Kiwanis Clubs in the Rocky Mountain District of Kiwanis International report having volunteered for the Salvation Army fundraiser. Many of those clubs worked alongside the student organizations that their club sponsors and mentors.

On Saturday, February 18, the Kiwanis ,Rocky Mountain District, will make a special presentation to the Salvation Army for all the money raised. The presentation will be at the Kiwanis Midwinter Conference Luncheon in Longmont, CO at the Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 Ken Pratt Blvd. Clubs volunteered over 3,000 hours and collected over $140,000 bell-ringing in quarter and dollar donations.
Accepting the presentation for the Salvation Army will be Captain Grady Brown of the Denver office.
