HUD awards $10 million to Colorado housing authorities
Housing authorities in Northern Colorado received $441,701. The bulk of that money went to the Fort Collins Housing Authority, which received $188,756, and the Housing Authority of the City of Greeley, which received $112,287.
The grants were funded through HUD's Capital Fund Program, which provides funding annually to public housing authorities to make alterations such as replacing plumbing and electrical systems.
"HUD is committed to improving public housing and creating communities that thrive," said Rick Garcia, HUD's Rocky Mountain Region's Administrator. "These funds help fill the gap for public housing agencies throughout the Rocky Mountain region to make enhancements and create more affordable housing."
