New downtown Loveland restaurant opens Thursday
Offering small-plate tapas-style food along with house sangrias and wines, the restaurant will open 4 p.m. daily.
Next Door Food & Drink, 222 E. Fourth St., is named for its location next door to the historic Rialto Theater. Construction to expand the theater began last summer as performances continued throughout the project.
Next Door Food & Drink will open for lunch at 11 a.m. when the theater's grand reopening takes place in the coming weeks.
The restaurant's dining area has reclaimed wood floors, tin tiles, weathered wood beams and custom metal and woodwork. It will serve Spanish style tapas that patrons can eat as an appetizer or combine to make a full meal.
"Our goal was to construct small-plate dishes that each create a unique sensory experience and allow us the flexibility to work with a variety of fresh local foods as they come in season," Executive Chef Ricky Myers said in a statement.
