NCMC Inc., Banner Health donate $300,000 to Greeley school
The Banner/NCMC Health Science Academy will offer a curriculum capable of serving up to 200 students in grades 9 through 12. Lessons will be delivered in a simulated clinical environment, using state-of-the-art equipment including hospital beds, medical mannequins and a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and supplies.
"For any student who is interested in becoming a doctor, nurse, medical technician or other health care professional, this Academy will give them a leg up on realizing that dream," said Ranelle Lang, superintendent of School District 6.
The Health Science Academy will open in August 2012.
