Firestone cancels April 3 election
Firestone Trustee and Mayor Pro-tem Paul Sorensen said the residents he has met with have a great deal of confidence in the way the town is being managed. “Saving the cost of the election is a plus, but the positive attitude of our residents is a vote of confidence to continue working together for the future of our community.”
Positions open on the Town of Firestone Board of Trustees include the mayor, who serves a two-year term, and three trustees, who serve four-year terms. Incumbent Mayor Chad Auer is running again for the mayor seat, as well as incumbent Trustees Paul Sorensen and Matt Holcomb. Current Planning Commissioner George Heath is seeking the third trustee seat.
