FCHA receives grant to help homeless veterans
The money is a part of $1.7 million provided to public housing agencies in Colorado to provide assistance to more than 270 homeless veterans statewide.
The permanent supportive housing assistance is provided through HUD's Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program and is part of the Obama Administration's goal to end veteran and long-term, chronic homelessness by 2015.
The grants are part of $75 million appropriated for fiscal 2012 to support the housing needs of approximately 10,500 homeless veterans in the country.
