The Daniels Fund donated $24,000 to Aims Community College to provide need-based scholarships for adult learners interested in the college's Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedics programs. The fund was founded by Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television, in 2000 to provide scholarships to support non-traditional students in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
Brown & Brown Insurance donated $5,000 to Respite Care on behalf of all Brown & Brown team members across the country. In an effort to honor Brown & Brown team members and their families on a national level, six different charities were selected throughout the country based on recommendations from approximately 200 offices. Brown & Brown employees in Fort Collins cite Respite Care as a favorite client and non-profit organization in Larimer County. The donation will fund two weeks of the Respite Care Summer Day Camp.
The Downtown Business Association announced that more than $20,800 was collected for the Food Bank for Larimer County during the sixth annual Great Plates of Downtown event.
