Vestas announces new CFO
Andresen will step into his role officially on Aug. 1. Previously, Andresen worked as the CFO of Vattenfall AB, one of Sweden's three largest companies.
Company CEO Ditlev Engel said that the appointment of the new CFO would further strengthen communications with both analysts and investors.
In January, Vestas announced that it was laying off more than 2,300 people worldwide and could lay off an additional 1,600 in the U.S. if Congress does not extend tax breaks for renewable energy.
The company currently has $1 billion invested in four facilities in Colorado, one of which is located in Windsor. U.S. operations are headquartered in Portland, Ore.
