FORT COLLINS – A small group of the 2012 Leadership Fort Collins class, in collaboration with Poudre Valley Health System, on Wednesday will host a career fair and panel for Project Self-Sufficiency and other community organizations.

The event will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Poudre Valley Health System’s Caribou offices. While the fair and panel discussion are free, space is limited. Registration is required; click here.

Project Self-Sufficiency is a non-profit organization that assists lower-income single parents with achieving financial independence.

“We’re hosting this event in part to support Project Self-Sufficiency, which serves a very important role in our community,” said Amy Kolczak, associate general counsel for PVH and a participant in Leadership Fort Collins. “Members of this year’s Leadership class are also anxious to give back to the broader community now that we’ve learned so much through this wonderful Fort Collins Area of Chamber of Commerce program.”

The project is one of numerous Leadership Fort Collins projects going on this month. The 2012 Leadership Fort Collins (LFC) class participants have been challenged to work in small teams to design and complete a class project in a single day. The participants were encouraged to design a project that would impact the Fort Collins community while meeting a local need.

Leadership Fort Collins, a program of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce, was established in 1981 to inform participants about the history, government, economy, social issues, needs and opportunities in the community. The 2012 class will graduate from the program on Thursday, May 10.
