Gas prices in Fort Collins and Greeley have declined for the fifth straight week, according to AAA.

The average price for a gallon of gas fell to $3.71 in Fort Collins and $3.70 in Greeley, AAA said Wednesday.

Gas prices were $3.73 in Greeley and $3.74 in Fort Collins last Wednesday.

Gas prices also fell in most other places tracked by AAA. A gallon of gas in Denver cost $3.73, down from $3.77.

Gas prices in Colorado Springs fell 4 cents to $3.74. In Boulder and Longmont, gas prices dropped 4 cents to $3.73.

Vail had the highest price for a gallon of gas, $4.12, of the locations tracked by AAA.

The average price for a gallon of gas in Colorado was $3.88 while nationwide prices were $3.98.
