Bank of Choice will officially become Community Banks of Colorado in mid-July.

Bank of Choice, formerly headquartered in Greeley, was purchased by National Bank Holdings Corp. after being declared insolvent by regulators in July 2011. NBH purchased Greenwood Village-based Community Banks of Colorado the following October.

The branches of Bank of Choice will be renamed over the weekend of July 15. Customers of the bank do not need to make any adjustments.

NBH is in the process of going public, having submitted paperwork for an initial public offering to the SEC late last year. The company is also in the process of moving its headquarters from Boston to Denver.

In April, it was announced that an unspecified number of positions at Bank of Choice and Community Banks of Colorado had been eliminated because of duplication.
