Gasoline prices fell for the fourth straight week in Fort Collins and Greeley, according to an AAA report released Wednesday.

The average price of a gallon of gas dropped 2 cents to $3.51 in Fort Collins and Greeley, the report says.

Gas prices were higher in every other part of the state tracked by AAA, except in Colorado Springs, where the average gallon of gas cost $3.50.

The average gallon of gas in Northern Colorado cost slightly less one year ago, when Fort Collins gas cost $3.47 and Greeley gas went for $3.49.

At $3.99, Vail had the highest gas prices Wednesday.

Gas prices averaged $3.58 statewide. At $3.38, the average gallon of gas nationwide was 20 cents cheaper.
