Fort Morgan airport receives FAA grant
The new runway will help the airport meet design standards, according to a release from Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet's office.
"(This grant) will allow for much needed improvements that will help keep the airport safe and reliable as it expands, which is essential to supporting economic development in the community," Bennet said.
The airport is a city-owned general aviation airport with three runways. The grant is part of $3.35 billion allotted to the Airport Improvement Program, a fund administered by the FAA.
