Colorado among top 10 for construction jobs
New figures from the Associated General Contractors of America show that the number of construction jobs statewide increased from 110,400 in June 2011 to 117,100 in June.
Construction employment has increased slowly but steadily in recent months as builders get back to work on both residential and commercial projects. For more about residential projects in Northern Colorado, click here.
Twenty-five states, as well as Washington, D.C. added construction jobs in June, according to the report.
Across Colorado, more construction jobs are expected to be created as homeowners rebuild after losing property in recent wildfires.
