Colorado Time Systems, a Loveland-based provider of timing, scoring and display systems in athletic competitions worldwide, has been sold.
The acquirer is PlayCore Holdings Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of various recreations products as well as a "portfolio" company of Irving Place Capital.

CTS’s manufacturing facility has been in Loveland since 1972, and its products include aquatic timing products like the AquaGrip TouchPad and Relay Judging Platforms, used in both amateur and professional aquatic facilities.

The company will remain in Colorado but become part of PlayCore’s EverActive Brands Group, with general manager Anita Sayed maintaining her leadership role over the company’s day-to-day operations and future growth plans.

PlayCore, based in Chattanooga, Tenn., provides a vast array of recreational equipment, as well as research and education in the field of “play.”

Sayed believes the acquisition will allow CTS to expand its reach to new markets and offer more products.
