FORT COLLINS - New outdoor vending regulations passed by the Fort Collins City Council  will go into effect Friday.

The new regulations give outdoor vendors more options, including the ability to parallel park in nonresidential areas, on private property with permission from the owner and in approved downtown lots.

Vendors will be prohibited from vending within 200 feet of the property boundary of any public or private school.

Outdoor vendors can range from mobile food trucks to pushcarts to transportation services.

Vendors will still be operating under restriction, but residents can expect to see more outdoor vendors beginning in August, according to the city.
