LOVELAND - The Northern Colorado Business Report will hold its annual Women of Distinction awards beginning at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 8 at the Embassy Suites in Loveland. The fourth-annual awards will recognize 10 female leaders.

More than 70 women were nominated this year in the various categories. Awards will be presented in banking and finance; real estate; education; government energy and utilities; health care; nonprofit human services; outstanding volunteerism; business and business services, and nonprofit creative industries. Also, a leading lady award for a lifetime of achievements in business will be presented.

An 11th category, new in 2012, is the Lady of Legacy award. Lady of Legacy will honor posthumously a Northern Colorado woman who, in her lifetime, made significant contributions to the region.

The selection process for the awards includes a panel of six judges who evaluate each candidate and choose the leading woman in each category.

Cost to attend the Women of Distinction breakfast is $39 with online advance registration and $49 at the door. Registration at the door begins at 7 a.m. Online registration will close Aug. 5.

Table sponsorships are available for $400. Individual registration is available at the Women of Distinction registration webpage. For more information or for table sponsorships, contact De Dahlgren at 970-232-3132 or ddahlgren@ncbr.com.
