Construction jobs up in Greeley, flat in Fort Collins
The latest data from the Associated General Contractors of America show that in Greeley, jobs in construction, mining and logging increased from 10,500 in June 2011 to 11,500 this June. In the Fort Collins and Loveland area, the number of jobs in the same sectors was 7,700 both in June and a year earlier.
In Colorado, the number of jobs in construction, mining and logging increased by 5 percent to 150,900 year-over-year in June. Every metropolitan statistical area in Colorado either saw an increase in these types of jobs or remained flat, with one exception.
In Colorado Springs, the number of jobs decreased by 5 percent year-over-year in June to 11,500.
