Compass reports 96 percent increase in income
The Birmingham, Ala.-based bank brought in $140 million in the second quarter, up from $72 million in the second quarter of 2011. Lending increased by 10 percent compared to the same quarter of 2011, rising to $44.5 billion.
Deposits at Compass Bank increased by 6 percent to $48.3 billion, with an 11 percent increase in non-interest bearing deposits.
Its nonperforming loan ratio dropped from 4.7 percent to 3.2 percent year-over-year.
Compass Bank has four Northern Colorado locations, two in Fort Collin and one each in Loveland and Greeley.
