Crews will begin on Sunday a year-long project to replace damaged concrete on Interstate 25 from Johnstown to south of the Wyoming border.

Work will start 8 p.m. Sunday on the southbound portion of the interstate between the exits for state highway 392 and Harmony Road, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.

Crews will work between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday throughout the project. Speed limits through the work zone will be reduced from 75 to 45 miles per hour.

Delays will be minimal, the transportation department said.

New Design Construction of Denver is the contractor on the $914,000 project, which is expected to be completed by July.
