SafeSite, AlphaGraphics expanding
SafeSite, based in Johnstown, and AlphaGraphics, based in Fort Collins, will both relocate their headquarters to 5803 Lockheed Ave. in Loveland. Skip and Diane McIntosh purchased the building for $1.2 million to expand their fast-growing companies.
Each company will inhabit a floor of the building, taking up about 5,000 square feet. The companies will also share a 3,500-square-foot hangar on the property.
SafeSite's current headquarters will be vacated completely, while AlphaGraphics will remain in the building it inhabits, but at a reduced capacity. The printing company will sublease a portion of its Fort Collins space.
Earlier this year, AlphaGraphics opened an office at 4320 9th St. Road in Greeley.
Both companies have grown rapidly in recent years, according to Skip McIntosh. SafeSite, which provides services marking the location of power and electrical lines before digging, doubled its sales from 2010 to 2011 and has seen 20 percent growth so far in 2012.
SafeSite employs 148, while AlphaGraphics employs 13. Both companies plan on hiring more employees with the expansion, but McIntosh could not comment on how many.
SafeSite will move into the new building in early September, and AlphaGraphics will make the move in the next two to three months, McIntosh said.
Greg Roeder of Brinkman Partners and Peter Kelly of Realtec brokered the transaction, which closed Aug. 8.
