FORT COLLINS - The City of Fort Collins will hold an open house to discuss parking issues in downtown from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. on Aug. 23.

Specifically, the open house will look at the city's parking plan, which resulted from a study that began in March 2011 to address parking issues like on-street parking by employees, high parking occupancies and lack of business involvement in parking decisions.

The open house will be held at the city offices at 281 N. College Ave. Some of the issues that will be discussed are employee parking, parking in neighborhoods, electric vehicle charging stations and more.

The plan contains policies and actions scheduled for city council review and adoption on Oct. 2.
