John Matsushima, a retired CSU professor and a pioneer in beef-cattle nutrition, was honored Jan. 14 as 2013 Citizen of the West by the National Western Stock Show. During his 30-year career as a professor and researcher in the Department of Animal Sciences, Matsushima became a world-renowned expert whose innovations, beginning in the 1960s, helped modernize and expand U.S. beef production.

Anton Collins Mitchell LLP, an accounting and consulting firm with offices in Denver, Boulder and Greeley, announced that Scott P. Grimm has been admitted as a partner in the firm. Grimm joined ACM in 2010. The majority of his professional experience has been focused on serving middle-market clients in the real estate and construction industry. As a tax partner at ACM, Grimm advises clients on a variety of tax issues including historic tax credit work, partnership accounting, transactional planning, cost segregation and property transactions. He also leads the real estate and construction team, guides training and speaks nationally at conferences such as the 2012 AICPA Real Estate Conference.
