Work has wrapped up on the first phase of a $3.3 million expansion of CSU's Moby Arena, a project that will add eight ticket booths and concession stands.

The south concourse now has a 5,000-square-foot banquet hall with a kitchen. Additional tickets booths were also added on the south side of the arena.

The second phase will include renovation of the men's and women's basketball locker room areas, which includes player lounge areas.

Also planned are the renovation and expansion of the sports medicine facility as well as renovation of offices, a conference room, examination rooms, a new hydrotherapy pool room and rehabilitation area, and a renovated treatment room.

The 50-year-old, 8,745-seat whale-shaped venue, home to the Ram volleyball and basketball teams, has undergone multiple renovations over the years.

The latest expansion began last year. Pinkard Construction, based in Lakewood, is doing the work.
