Corner Bakery to remain at current location
The Corner Bakery Cafe opened at 3300 S. College Ave. in December 2011 and sits on a portion of the 77-acre site purchased by Walton Foothills Holdings last summer.
Alberta Development Partners, one of the two parties that comprise Walton Foothills Holdings, has plans to spend $100 million renovating the mall and the surrounding area.
Those plan involved removing many of the outbuildings that surround the mall, and the relocation of several tenants, including the Arc Thrift Store that sits nearby.
The Corner Bakery will remain open through the construction and will be incorporated into the redeveloped mall when it opens, which is slated for the 2014 holiday season.
The restaurant is led by father-and-son team John and Jamey Cutter, who also have a Corner Bakery Cafe at The Streets at SouthGlenn, an Alberta-owned shopping center in Centennial.
