Anadarko, Noble Energy paid $148M in property taxes
The payment represents one third of all taxes, or $454 million, that will be paid to the county. Property tax revenue is up $71 million from the $383 million collected last year.
Anadarko and Noble Energy will present checks to county officials at Aims Community College in Fort Lupton next Tuesday.
The money is distributed to about 300 authorities, including junior colleges such as Aims Community College, school districts, fire districts, cities and others.
