Photographer Fielder to present book on Colorado ranches
By Staff
FORT COLLINS - Famed Colorado nature photographer John Fielder will present his latest book, Ranches of Colorado, at 6 p.m. on Nov. 20 at the North Ballroom of Lory Student Center on the Colorado State University campus.
The book is a collaboration between Fielder, Colorado Open Lands and the Colorado Cattlemen's Agricultural Land Trust. It features photos of 50 working ranches across the state. Fielder will highlight portions of the book in a multimedia presentation.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will help support Legacy Land Trust, a nonprofit land conservation organization in Northern Colorado. Eagle Rock Ranch in Weld county, one of the ranches featured in the book, was protected with conservation assistance from LLT.
LLT has been protecting ranch and farm lands, scenic and natural areas and wildlife habitat in Larimer, Weld and Jackson counties since 1993.
Suggested donation for admission to the event is $7.50 and $5 for CSU students with I.D. Fielder will sign copies of his new book and past works during the event, which is sponsored by Larimer County Open Lands, city of Fort Collins Natural Areas and the Center for Collaborative Conservation.
